Tulip Festival

Start date: April 24, 2021

End date: May 8, 2021

Time: 1000 - 1730

Burnby Hall Gardens’ annual Tulip Festival has become a very popular event and provides a colourful and vibrant beginning to our new season. This year’s festival is being held from late April to early May and promises to be the most spectacular yet.

A great deal of care and attention is given to ensuring that the bulbs are planted to create some lovely displays, with the underplanting of the tulips being developed in several locations.

This year, there will once again be a cascade of colours throughout the Gardens, featuring 12000 tulips, with 30 varieties on display, which can be seen formally displayed in tubs throughout the Gardens and in the main flower beds across the site.

Wallflowers have been underplanted to provide extra colour and fragrance.

This year’s tulip display has been planned Jill Ward, Head Gardener, on behalf of the Stewarts Trust, and is the culmination of months of planning by herself, the Estate Manager, and the gardening team at Burnby Hall Gardens.

The Gardens are open between 10 am and 5.30 pm daily (with last entry at 4.30 pm).

On-line pre-booking is required for non-members (day visitors). Members do not need to pre-book.
