Tulip Festival

Start date: April 28, 2018

End date: May 12, 2018

Time: 10:00 - 17:30

Location: Burnby Hall Gardens

Burnby Hall Gardens, Pocklington are seven times consecutive winners of the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Yorkshire in Bloom Gold Award, and we are holding our sixth annual Tulip Festival from 28th April to 12th May.

Whilst best known for our impressive National Collection of over one hundred varieties of Hardy Water Lily, which bloom on the two ornamental lakes in the summer, the Tulip Festival attracts many thousands of visitors to Yorkshire’s unique Gardens in the spring.

Over 14,000 tulips, comprising over 30 varieties, will be on display. These can be seen formally displayed in tubs throughout the Gardens and in the numerous flower beds throughout the site, providing a cascade of colour and beauty for the spring.

The Festival is once again being run in conjunction with the award-winning Bloms Bulbs, who achieved Gold for their own tulip display at the Chelsea Flower Show in 2013, and provides a beautiful and colourful way to enjoy a lovely spring day.

Update 10/05/18:

Following two successful weeks, the Festival is now reaching its end and some of the blooms are now finishing.
