Burnby Hall Gardens and Pocklington Arts Centre are running a joint project to offer outdoor, creative activities for young people in the area.

We are working with specialist company “Brainfools” to collaborate on a range of inclusive and accessible active workshops learning a variety of circus skills over the course of 2 days at the start of the Summer Holidays.

Young people (aged 3-18) can sign up to take part in sessions offering – Juggling, Balancing, Tumbling and Theatre Skills.

Half Day sessions 10.00-11.45 and 1.00-2.45 are available on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th July – bookable through Pocklington Arts Centre website.

Charges are £20/per participant and includes access to Burnby Hall Garden for young person and one adult.

All sessions aim to be inclusive and accessible but for those with more complex needs (accompanied by a support worker / carer), there is an option to attend a Relaxed Circus Skills Taster Session at 3pm on Thursday 25th July. Spaces for this session are limited and early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. This session will be £10 for 45 mins.

Audiences can prepare to be dazzled with the skills of “Brainfools” at two special performances of “Cirque Enchante” making their debut Yorkshire appearance at Pocklington Arts Centre on Friday 26th July at 6pm and a matinee performance at 10.30am on Saturday 27th July. Fun for people of all ages with a family (4) ticket just £39.

Tickets can be purchased via the Pocklington Arts Centre website, where further information on individual workshops and the performances of Cirque Enchante at Pocklington Arts Centre can be found.
