The Classic Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire

Date: June 30, 2024

Time: 1400 - 1600

On Sunday, 30 June, the Classical Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire will be performing in the bandstand between  2 pm and 4 pm.

The Classical Guitar Ensemble of the East Riding of Yorkshire was formed 18 months ago and is conducted by Nicole Alderson. The ensemble has steadily grown over the months and now currently has 10 members. They rehearse each week in Beverley and have performed in venues such as Hull Minster, Beverley Minster, St Mary’s Church Beverley, Pockdown, Wassand Hall amongst other beautiful settings. Their performances feature music ranging from the Spanish and classical repertoire to arrangements of popular hits.

Nicole Alderson has conducted numerous award-winning County and Youth ensembles over the years. This time she has reached out to adults who are active players, as well as those who are classically trained but who maybe haven’t played for a while. Nicole trained with ABRSM and majors in classical guitar, her other instruments being clarinet and piano. She has performed as a soloist both in the UK and Europe and has taught classical guitar for over 40 years.

Nicole is always looking to recruit new members and welcomes anyone who is classically trained in guitar to contact her:
