A chance encounter…

The Friends of Pocklington Green Spaces are just a few of the volunteers who support the permanent staff at Burnby Hall. One day whilst working in the Stumpery we found an owlet sleeping away the day while its parents looked down from above, just one of our serendipitous encounters with nature. On the bright sunny days I have watched the visitors feeding the fish while others stroll around or play with their children, a good day out for them all. But let’s not ignore the quieter periods of the day, whatever the weather, it is a different world.
